The Last Show of the Season

Yesterday was the last street fair for OMUNKY in 2013. That's weird to type. It's weird sitting here knowing that I don't have to get things ready for a show next weekend. I've gotten so used to the hustle and bustle that it seems strange that it just ends. So sad....

This was a great year for OMUNKY. I act like it's over when it isn't. I'm very excited for the holiday months. I met so many great people at these street fairs who I know are looking forward to giving OMUNKY gifts in December. I wish I could be a fly on all of your shoulders to see the reactions of the recipients. I'm sure google is working on something right now to rectify that, haha.

I learned a lot this year thanks to the various street fairs and festivals OMUNKY participated in. The most important being that five heads are better than one. I want to take this time to thank Meg, Cristina, Mike, and Arelis for all of their help. This year would not have been as amazing for this brand if it weren't for their dedication. I can't wait to grow with them in 2014.

I'm not going to tell you the other lessons I learned during the 2013 show season. But, I will say that I will be adapting to them in 2014. I will spending the colder months preparing for next year. I have plenty of designs to work on and plenty of research to do. You ain't seen nothing yet!

For all of the wonderful people I met in 2013, (and you know who you are) I just want to say thanks. I feel like a broken record with all this gratitude, but it's true. I would not be able to do this if it weren't for your love of this brand and for wildlife in general. I will try my very best to make sure 2014 is the best year ever for OMUNKY.

Have a wonderful rest of the year and I will see you soon!

-Rick
