The First Show of the Year!

Man, it seems like forever since I was getting ready for one of these! I've really missed it. I forgot how much fun it is to sell my wares at a show. This year I plan on doing it bigger and better than ever before. This means more shows, more locations, and more OMUNKY!

Nyack Springfest - Sunday, April 14th from 10AM - 5PM

Starting off, OMUNKY is heading to good old Rockland County for their Nyack Springfest. We had the pleasure of selling at this show last year, and it was a great start. I'm looking forward to returning to this lovely town with some of my newer shirts to see how they're received in person.

While you're attending, make sure to check out some of the great local stores and restaurants Nyack has to offer. It really is a great town. I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.

This Sunday marks the last show I will be doing in 2012. It's weird to say that. Looking back, I spent a lot of time doing street fairs and festivals this year. I've had some amazing ones, and a few that I would rather not think of. Some shows got rained out and others couldn't have been more beautiful. There were times were I was so busy I couldn't take a single break and others where I wished I'd brought a book or something. 

This year has not only taught me that people love to shop for OMUNKY in person, but I've also learned where people like to shop. I am so glad that I took a leap of faith and signed up to be a NYC vendor. I can't tell you how amazing it is to meet people from all over the world who travel to the city for work and vacation.

I am looking forward to this Sunday. Weather and hurricane damage pending, it should be a good time. I can't wait to meet new people that love animals as much as I do. As for those of you who I've met this past year, I look forward to creating new and exciting designs to add to your wardrobe.

Baboons 'N Butterflies - REPRINT July 13 2012

One of the most popular OMUNKY tees, Baboons 'N Butterflies has just been restocked! This shirt is available in both men's and women's sizes and is printed on a sweet asphalt grey ring spun tee. As usual, the print is super soft and the item is already pre-shrunk!

Nyack's Famous Street Fair this Weekend!

OMUNKY is heading back to the lovely town of Nyack this Sunday for their amazing summer street fair. For those of you who are lucky enough to live near this Rockland County hot spot, I will be displaying three new secret ptoducts. These items will not be available online until after the show (if I have any of them left).

Here are some handy-dandy directions for y'all. Look for the OMUNKY banner flying high. I was told by the promoters that I will be very close to the local Starbucks, if that helps. Hope to see you there!

Pelham Street Fair this Weekend! June 21 2012

I'm very excited for this weekend. Pelham was one of the first shows I did last year. After bad experiences at shows a while back, I was hesitant to do them. The lovely town of Pelham changed my whole outlook on street fairs. I am super excited to be setting up for their first 2012 street fair.

The Village of Pelham Street Fair & Craft Show will be held on Sunday, June 24th, from 10AM - 5PM. It will be running on Lincoln and 5th Ave. Visit my shows page for more information/directions. Hope to see you local MUNKYheads there!

Fair Lawn Street Fair Recap June 11 2012

I wasn't too thrilled with the turnout last year when I attended street fairs in NJ. It just seemed like, compared to places like Pelham and Nyack, NJ was a bit lacking. As a fan of second chances, I thought I would give my neighboring state another try.

I spent the night before last constantly checking the weather forecasts for Fair Lawn. My show a week ago, in Suffern, got rained out. I did not want to deal with that again, especially since I would be doing the Fair Lawn show all by myself. 

Overall, the show was decent. The weather forecast definitely kept a lot of people away, but I had fun. The organizers for this event were some of the most efficient I have ever worked with. There were many more of their employees walking around than I had ever seen at a street fair before. Fair Lawn is a nice little town. Definitely a place I felt comfortable in. 

I also want to take this time to thank my awesome neighbors, Alan and Stacey (pictured above). They were kind enough to entertain me during the show and help me break down some of my equipment at the end (we had to close early to avoid the oncoming storm). Stacey runs a cute little jewelry shop on Etsy called Petal & Stone. Alan is the self proclaimed "muscle" and "labor". Overall, they make a great team.
