The First Show of the Year!

Man, it seems like forever since I was getting ready for one of these! I've really missed it. I forgot how much fun it is to sell my wares at a show. This year I plan on doing it bigger and better than ever before. This means more shows, more locations, and more OMUNKY!

Nyack Springfest - Sunday, April 14th from 10AM - 5PM

Starting off, OMUNKY is heading to good old Rockland County for their Nyack Springfest. We had the pleasure of selling at this show last year, and it was a great start. I'm looking forward to returning to this lovely town with some of my newer shirts to see how they're received in person.

While you're attending, make sure to check out some of the great local stores and restaurants Nyack has to offer. It really is a great town. Interesting Pig Facts March 25 2013

 I think random animal facts will be a good addition to this blog. I mean, who doesn't want random conversation starters about wildlife. Exactly!

Here's a fun fact about one of your favorite farm animals, pigs!

Pigs snuggle close to one another and prefer to sleep nose to nose. They dream, much as humans do. In their natural surroundings, pigs spend hours playing, sunbathing, and exploring. People who run animal sanctuaries for farmed animals often report that pigs, like humans, enjoy listening to music, playing with soccer balls, and getting massages. - PETA

Sounds like pigs are a bunch of hedonists!

The Last Show of 2012 November 01 2012

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.

This Sunday marks the last show I will be doing in 2012. It's weird to say that. Looking back, I spent a lot of time doing street fairs and festivals this year. I've had some amazing ones, and a few that I would rather not think of. Some shows got rained out and others couldn't have been more beautiful. There were times were I was so busy I couldn't take a single break and others where I wished I'd brought a book or something. 

This year has not only taught me that people love to shop for OMUNKY in person, but I've also learned where people like to shop. I am so glad that I took a leap of faith and signed up to be a NYC vendor. I can't tell you how amazing it is to meet people from all over the world who travel to the city for work and vacation.

I am looking forward to this Sunday. Weather and hurricane damage pending, it should be a good time. I can't wait to meet new people that love animals as much as I do. As for those of you who I've met this past year, I look forward to creating new and exciting designs to add to your wardrobe.

OMUNKY Celebrates 3 Years July 22 2012

On July 22nd, 2009, I decided to start a small business. I wanted people to feel apart of something when they wore their OMUNKY shirts out in the "wild". I also wanted to enjoy getting up and going to work each day. Three years ago today I started a fun, quirky, animal-based clothing line. It turns out a lot of people thought that was a good idea :)

I am writing this article, not only to celebrate how long OMUNKY has been around (is three years long?). I also wanted to say thanks to you, my fans. To all those people who have purchased my wares, wrote articles about me and my clothing line, tweeted my announcements, liked/shared my posts, pinned my products to their boards, and stumbledupon my site.
