OMUNKY in Brooklyn June 17 2013

As I've said a few times before, I was very nervous about taking OMUNKY to Brooklyn. Nothing against this borough, but I only have a certain amount of days I can do shows and they all pretty much have to be awesome if I wish to conquer the world. Last time I was in Brooklyn I didn't do so well.

Maybe my stuff is better now, or maybe the location was, whatever. OMUNKY <3 Brooklyn! This was an amazing street fair! I met a bunch of great people who just loved my wares. At the end of the day, I was exhausted, happy, and pleasantly surprised with the 7th Heaven Festival. What a great day!

One of the other things that stood out at this show was the great live music. Definitely much better than usual. I managed to get a little video of one of the bands jamming out. You can view it below:

It's been a very long time since I've tried to sell my wares in Brooklyn. When I first started doing street fairs, a few years back, I didn't have good experiences there. This was in no way Brooklyn's fault. I blame the location and the lack of promotion done for the shows.

Well, I'm back, baby! Brooklyn, here I come! I've got you in my sites. I've been watching you, thinking about you. This Sunday will be epic!

OMUNKY will be set up on 7th Ave, between 3rd and 4th street. The show runs from noon -  6pm. Brooklyn MUNKYheads, I hope to see you there!

OMUNKY and the Patch June 13 2013

What a week it's been for OMUNKY! First MSNBC, and then this! For those of you who're unfamiliar with the Patch, it's basically a collection of local and hyperlocal news and information websites. Just think of it as your town's paper, except there are a bunch of them across the country.

OMUNKY on MSNBC Your Business June 11 2013

Last thursday, I got to go on MSNBC's Your Business and do an "Elevator Pitch". This is a cool concept, where you have a minute to pitch your idea to potential investors, as if you were joining them in an elevator.

Now, for those fo you who know me, you won't recognize this nervous wreck on camera. I am terrible at memorizing speeches. In fact, when I normally have to give one, I just wing it! Oh well, this was still fun. Maybe one day I can go back on for an interview!
